My Journey of Writing in English 1102

When we got the assignment for our first paper, I was like this is going to be so easy. Writing the paper as a whole was very easy because we only had to have one source to get our information from. After I turned the paper in I felt very confident. Then going through the rest of the semester we got the assignment for our second paper. I was very skeptical because I never had to write a paper that was so long before. This paper was a lot harder than the first one. I had to actually do research and had to try my hardest not to repeat myself to much in the paper. This is the only paper I had to actually brainstorm about. This made me a little angry because typically I never have to do this. In the end I feel like it helped me out because I was able not to repeat myself and was able to make my paper flow. The last paper we had to write was fairly easy. It was definitely needed after the stress the second paper put me through. I really had fun writing the editorial for my peers because it helped me with writing exactly to my intended audience.
Overall this class has helped me learn how to effectively write an argument. By effectively I mean without fallacies and with credible information to back up my argument. The part I enjoyed most about this class is that we are able to revise our papers. My English 1101 teacher did not give us this option. I am truly glad I am done with my English credits because I am tired or writing papers.

Technology I Can Go Without

The only technology I can do without is an Ipod. This is probably because I do not have one. I do not need one because my cell phone has a built in mp3 player. Maybe if phones were not so advanced I would probably have an Ipod. My laptop also makes me want an Ipod even less. This is because I can listen to all the music I want on the Internet or on Frostwire once I download a specific song. Having my own laptop enables me to hold a lot of songs. Most are Ipods are small and that is another reason I can do without them. I think I might lose them. Since they are small that means I have to try to keep up with it a lot more than I do with my phone. I think Ipods are overrated. This is unless you have one that can play videos and movies. If I had one that did these kinds of things this blog would probably be a lot different. Spending money Ipods is a waste of money. I will just wait till somebody buys me one.Spending money Ipods is a waste of money. I am not saying that they are too expensive they are just on my buy list.I will just wait till somebody buys me one. I would never spend money on things I do not need. Since an Ipod is the only thing I can live without that should show you that my list of things I cannot live without is very extensive.

My Favorite Show: House

Recently on the show House, one of the doctors killed himself—Cutner. Nothing appeared to be wrong with him in the previous episodes. In the previous episode, he was the one that find out what was wrong with the patient. He appeared to like helping Dr. House and his team when it came to helping patients. Within in the first fifteen minutes of the show Cutner had committed suicide. This was a devastating lost to the team and to Dr. House. House blamed himself for his death. He is a doctor he felt as if he should have seen the signs or symptoms that Cutner had. His death created turmoil between the other characters in the show. This episode created a lot of questions for me at the end of the show. Why didn’t House see the signs? What made Cutner feel like he had to kill himself? Why did House not go to the funeral? How could Cutner be so selfish as to take his own life and leave his friends alone? Why did his best-friend not go to his funeral? Why did House finally show feelings for someone he didn’t even seem to like? Was Cutner already dying before he killed himself? What if House is starting to change to become more sensitive?
